Samosa Story........................

I am ardent lover of Samosa, We have samosa party every now and then in my office in Gurgaon...India different parts Samosa is made in different style, like in Bengal we call it shingara where the filling consist of potato and peanut fried with lot of jeera added and in winters we also have potato and cauliflower stuffing....In down south where I grew samosa filling was replaced with Onion fried and filled......In Pilani we used to have Sam chat in which fried crispy samosa's were crushed and then curd, imli chutney, fresh cut onions and tomatoes were added as garnish with little of chat masala was sprinkled from top......Last week end I had been to Kasauli for a short trip with my close friend Ekta there she introduced me to famous Band samosa of Mohan Misthan Bhandar in lower mall area, Kasauli...Band samosa (cost INR-8) it consist of samosa with little of chole curry and tomato sauce sandwiched between a burger and then sort of grilled and served.......the owner said that his shop was started by his father in 1950s or 60s and many great people who studied in Lawrence school, Sanawar were included as its clientele which include to name some Sanjay dutt, Bobby deol, Meneka Gandhi
