Konkon Delicacies
I have always loved any food which is a blend of tangy
flavors ….people might think for a bong being like this is indifferent……I won’t
say it is very much distant taste for a sweet bong tooth...
I would recommend people if they travel to Konkan, then they
are required to try out Konkani delicacies from the following region
Mangalore Konkani delicacies
Malwan Konkan delicacies
Kerela Konkani delicacies
I am still to try goan and ratnagiri Konkani food
Kokam fruit: This fruit is an essential part of Konkani
delicacies because of its tangy flavor its concentrate is served as a juice and
also a part of shol curry
Sol Kadi: the major ingredients being coconut milk, kokam
fruit water (Dried 2 to 3 fruits soaked in water), coriander, asafetida. And
tinch of garlic thadka with mustard seeds in oil.
As all the coastal belt in India is used to using fresh
grated coconut in their daily delicacies….here also you will get the taste of
coconut in more or less every dish
