Good Cake Rules!


Earlier when i used to work full time, i used to bake anything for relaxation and i would like to say that baking cakes and trying out new flavors pushes me forward everyday.

For Dry Ingredients:

Some rules people must follow as i understand when baking cakes is try to make your own cake flour, which means that in measuring cup 1 cup of maida remove 2 tbsp and add 2 tbs of corn flour.
Always strain the dry ingredients through strainer, never measure the directly from the container and mix, means cocoa powder also needs to be strained and then mixed
I prefer strained white powder sugar when making cakes with sugar.


For Wet Ingredients:

I prefer using oil as the cake stays longer than using butter for eggless batter
Butter should be at room temperature while using
Curd when used should have less water content and at room temperature
Eggs when used should always be in room temperature

Mixing should be done through hand whisk or electric beater

OTG or airfryer or pressure cooker or kadhai should be always preheated 10 min at least and than it should be baked between 160 to 180 max. I prefer these temperature for making good sponge cakes
