Egg pockets my version

We bongs just love eggs in any form, so some days back i got pastry sheets pack from Dorabjee's(Its a heritage icon itself in pune). so i thought of making turkish sweet pastry but i wanted to try something different. I studied in Coimbatore for my bpharm and sometime during lunch never felt like eating rice so opted out for egg puff . Its masala is the different  version of Kerala egg roast and only half boiled egg are used. With Filo pastry sheets its very quick and simple

For egg masala following ingredients are required

  • 1 boiled egg cut into half
  • 1 medium onion (Cut thinly sliced)
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder (You can put freshly grind ed for better taste)
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1 tsp of Vegetable oil
Preparation:
In a pan add 1 tsp of oil at medium to low add garlic, let it fry for one minute so oil is fused with garlic flavor, then add thinly sliced onions, let it be saute and then add pepper, coriander and turmeric powder and salt according to your taste and then add half boiled egg with this you can make 2 puffs

For the Puff
  • 12 cm *12cm filo sheets 4 to 5 sheets for each Cup cake single molds or you can do in 6 mold
  • melted butter to coat each layer
Before putting the pastry sheets into the mold , smear melted butter into each layer with silicon brush.

Pre heat the air fryer at 150*c for 10 mins and then in the mold put the pastry sheets and in the center pocket add your masala with half egg and bake it for 6 mins at 150*c and then let the mold cool, take out the pocket and bake it for 12 mins at 120*c, cool it

It just melts in mouth, yumm
