One Base : For breakfast and Lunch
We always wonder what to give in breakfast and lunch, so i always create this base for making both breakfast and lunch.
Mushroom & Onion Base
Mushroom & Onion Base
- 200 gms of button mushroom (mushrooms should be wiped before hand so no extra moisture is there)
- 2 medium sized onions (diced into thin pieces, i prefer white onions for this)
- 7 to 8 medium garlic cloves
- Black pepper freshly crushed
- Italian Mixed seasoning according to your taste
- Salt according to your taste
- Olive oil (2 Tbs)
In a pan take 2 Tbs of olive oil and let it heat at low to medium heat and then add chopped garlic, then add onions and add salt and pepper, when it starts turning brown then add chopped mushrooms. When mushrooms start releasing water then add mixed seasoning and let the excess water evaporate. Please preview the below consistency
I love slightly caramelized onions you can use this base for two things:
Morning Breakfast : Mushroom omelet
Ingredients:
- 1Tbs of mushroom & onion base
- 1 egg or you can add even 2
- crushed pepper
- Olive oil as per your need
For this following things required, Take 1 tbs of mushroom base and beat it with one egg and beat it. In a pan take 1 tsp of olive oil and then add the beaten mix and make a omelet. Serve it with brown bread.
Afternoon Lunch: Mushroom pasta
Ingredients :
- Pasta as your choice for one person
- Mushroom base
- White Sauce (Home made)
- Oil as per your need
- Oregano
- Mozzarella cheese grated
Pasta Prep: Heat water with little of olive oil and salt and cook it for 7 to 8 mins max till al dente, drain it and keep aside remaining water
Main Prep: In a pan hat olive oil at medium to low add 3 tbs of Mushroom onion base, then add pasta and 15 ml of drained water which was kept aside and then add white sauce and mix it well and then oregano and before packing from top put the grated cheese.
